Eagle Street Spreads Its Wings for WiFi Network Take-off

Easyweb Digital was selected by JLL to provide a WiFi network for the outdoor area, foyer, and end-of-trip facilities of Brisbane’s recently refurbished 66 Eagle Street building. JLL is a world leading real estate services firm which required implementation of a WiFi system to match.

Overseeing all construction elements of the JLL building was Project Management firm, Montlaur. Venturing to Brisbane was our Technical Services Manager, Ben House, who liased with Montaur Project Manager, Will Symons, and met with JLL Property Services Supervisor, Andrew Stirling. Having discussed and planned the network design prior, an initial project meeting was utilised to collaboratively conduct a physical examination of the building and finalise all aspects of its design, in relation to the space.

Easyweb organised the delivery of appropriate equipment to the Eagle Street site so it was available for installation by the project’s cabling contractors. Easyweb technicians attended to complete final commissioning and end user training. The network consists of Ruckus ICX Switches, a combination of indoor and outdoor Ruckus 802.11ac Access Points. Internet access is via a high speed AAPT fibre internet backhaul service.

The system is managed using the Encapto 3.1 platform. Encapto provides a flexible and secured way for users to engage with the WiFi service.

The system is monitored and managed by Easyweb Digital’s NOC based in Collingwood, Melbourne. As a result of Easyweb Digital and JLL’s collaboration, the ground level of 66 Eagle Street is now totally equipped with a top class, high-functioning WiFi network.
