In 2014 Tourism NT engaged Easyweb Digital to deploy Public WiFi systems at popular tourism destinations such as Lichtfield National Park, Karlu Karlu and Wattarka (Kings Canyon) National Park, as well as other locations around Alice Springs like Traeger Park and Todd Street mall. Based on the success and usage of those systems, in 2015 the network was extended to 23 additional locations around the Territory.
The systems and the user engagement are managed centrally using the Encapto platform. The system supports users data collection and delivers presence analytics.
Tourism NT Public WiFi systems allow national and international tourists to connect to the Internet and keep that social media going.
